How Do You Resolve an Amazon Account Health Violation?
Amazon Sellers Appeal, operated by ASA Compliance Group and led by Or Shamosh, has handled 5,500+* seller cases since 2016.
We handle account suspensions, listing appeals and compliance cases, from the first review through submissions and follow‑ups.
To resolve an Amazon Account Health violation, open the affected policy violation in Seller Central and read what Amazon asks you to do. You may need to correct a listing, acknowledge a policy or appeal with supporting documents. After Amazon responds, check whether the violation is resolved and whether the affected listing can sell again.
Your Account Health Rating and an individual policy violation are different. A warning does not always mean your whole seller account is deactivated.
Where do you find an Amazon Account Health violation?
Open Account Health in the affected marketplace, then select the policy violation. Read the related Performance Notification too. The violation details should explain the affected ASIN or account, the problem and the available response.
- Find the reason. Note the policy, affected product and any deadline.
- Read the request. Does Amazon want documents, a listing correction or an explanation?
- Choose the appropriate response. Correct a confirmed problem, or explain why the violation is mistaken if an appeal is available. Read any acknowledgment carefully before accepting it.
- Submit and save a copy. Keep the appeal, attachments and confirmation.
- Check the result. Read Amazon’s reply and check the product’s selling status.
If the issue concerns a product claim, compare the listing with the listing keywords and claims guide.
What if you have several Account Health violations?
Keep a short list with one entry for each violation: the ASIN, the problem, what you sent and Amazon’s latest reply. A decision about one product may leave another violation open. Check each item before assuming the whole account is clear.
What should you send for an Amazon related-account suspension?
Amazon’s multiple-account policy permits another account in a region when there is a legitimate business need and the accounts remain in good standing. For a related-account suspension, explain who owned or used the accounts and how they were connected.
List each business, owner, former employee and service provider connected with the accounts. Write down who owned the business and who could use Seller Central, including when access started or ended. These are different questions. A company registration shows ownership; it does not show which agency could access the account.
If you recognize the account, identify the relationship and the underlying restriction. If you do not recognize it, explain which former partners, staff and agencies you checked and what you found. See the related-account appeal guide and, where cited, the Section 3 suspension guidance. Do not create another account as a workaround.
How do you investigate a review-manipulation violation?
Review the conduct identified in Amazon’s message and compare it with buyer messages, inserts, promotion instructions and any agency’s work. Check who approved the activity, when it ran and whether it is still happening.
For example, a discount offered in return for a positive review calls for review of the promotion itself. Removing one message does not document whether the same instruction remains in packaging or an agency workflow. Save the messages or inserts, stop prohibited activity and explain what you changed.
If you dispute the finding, identify the particular allegation and supporting evidence. Do not make a blanket denial before checking third-party activity. The review-manipulation appeal page covers the case-specific response.
How do you respond to an Amazon variation-policy violation?
Compare the parent and child ASINs with the variation theme allowed for that product category. Check how the products differ and whether those differences fit the allowed variation theme. Similar-looking products do not necessarily qualify for the same variation family.
In a fictional example, Amazon’s message concerns two different models grouped as color variants. The useful evidence is the actual model difference and the catalog relationship, followed by documented corrections if required. A general promise to “audit listings” does not explain the specific family.
Use the variation-abuse guidance for a detailed review. Keep screenshots of the relevant state and the corrected relationship.
What evidence helps with Amazon brand misuse violations?
Compare the product, packaging, brand field and disputed listing language. Distinguish a catalog-brand mismatch from an intellectual property complaint. An invoice can support a purchase, but it does not by itself establish permission to use a photograph, trademark or other protected material.
Collect the affected listing version, product labels and the written permission or ownership documents relevant to the complaint. Read the brand-misuse appeal guidance or the Amazon IP appeal guide. A separate Brand Registry application rejection should be checked against that application’s requirements.
How do you respond to an ASIN-creation violation?
Check whether the product already exists in the catalog, whether the identifier belongs to it, and whether the new listing describes a distinct product. Keep the ASINs, product identifiers, product photographs and creation history together.
Do not delete and recreate a restricted product as a shortcut. That can leave the original request unanswered. The ASIN-creation policy guide explains the product-level review; the account reinstatement service addresses an associated account restriction.
Is a court order handled like an Account Health appeal?
No. A court order, including a temporary restraining order, requires review of the actual legal documents and deadlines. An Account Health response does not replace the steps required by that order.
Retain Amazon’s message, case details and any instructions concerning listings or funds. Arrange appropriate legal review rather than sending a standard POA. Read the TRO and IP dispute overview for the relevant service route.
Why can a violation remain visible after a response?
Submitting an appeal does not mean Amazon has approved it. An approved document also does not always mean the listing is active. Read the decision before assuming that a visible item is still pending or that a cleared item means every ASIN is active.
Fictional example: A seller receives an acceptance message for one document request, but the ASIN remains inactive. Check the ASIN’s current reason and whether another request exists. Send the acceptance reference and current status when asking support to clarify the outstanding action.
How long does a violation stay on Account Health?
Do not apply a universal removal period to every policy item. The Account Health Rating and the display of individual violations are different. Check the current explanation for the particular item. A historical item with no action requested should not be treated as an instruction to submit repeated appeals.
What should you ask Account Health Support?
- Which specific requirement remains unanswered?
- Does the decision apply to this ASIN, this policy item or the whole account?
- Is another action available, and through which route?
- If the item is resolved, is the remaining entry informational history?
For a pending response, use the appeal timing and follow-up guide. For a rejected response, use the rejected appeal guide.
